Raúl Wélchez and his family have owned Finca Santa Isabel since the early 1950´s, implementing procedures and techniques necessary to produce high-quality premium coffees. Located in the “Copán Coffee Growing Region”, extending throughout the north-west part of Honduras, in the departments of Copán, Ocotepeque, parts of Lempira, Cortés, and Santa Bárbara, the farmland enjoys high altitude mountains and a unique rain forest climate that provide the perfect ecosystem for coffee growing Arabica beans with exquisite high-quality premium varieties such as Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Parainema, and Geisha, Finca Santa Isabel produces well-rounded, balanced, chocolaty flavor with a sustainable good aftertaste and is a fair trade organization certified by Rainforest Alliance.
